Abstract

Robo & Bobo is a laboratory project of digital design made at the department of
Oncology in the Pediatric Hospital Regina Margherita of Turin. The laboratories are
based on an interdisciplinary collaboration between design, pedagogy, psychology and
anthropology with an important focus over the context of illness and care in which the
project takes place. Telling the story of the first year of life of the project means showing the
possibilities of restitution of the ethnographic research through different ways of
doing applied anthropology and also open a debate about the changes and development that
happen in the various disciplines when they encounter, dialogue and work together.
The main object of this paper is to show in which direction these young collaborators
(designer and anthropologist) wish to orient their work and their definition of the
disciplines in which they are engaged.
